Hello Authors! Yesterday’s call was fabulous! Session #2 is creating all kinds of new ideas and content. It was amazing to hear the progress authors are making on their book writing journey. I really enjoyed hearing about your writing environments, Author’s Book Tour experiences and seeing the Manuscript Grids and photos come in. The new sessions are up so you can listen again and take another step forward in creating your book.

Hello Author! Are you ready to write your book? Once you have signed up for the Author’s Boot Camp, you will receive your Author’s Kit, your “Getting Started” instructions and complete access to this site. We’ll kick off the program with our author’s sessions and begin preparing to create your book!

My interview with Steve Harrison has been such a success in terms of new authors writing books that he has decided to broadcast it each week! I am both honored and delighted and have added additional spots in this fall’s classes as well as additional boot camps in February and March, 2011. There are a couple of spots available in the September 25-26 class and a few in the October 30-31, 2010 classes. The Author’s Coaching Program for both classes is starting on Wednesday, August 4 – that’s in a little more than 2 weeks! I can’t wait to meet you!

Your Author’s Boot Camp program comes with my Author’s Care program which means you can call or email us anytime. Please let me know if you have any questions!

The interview with Steve Harrison was broadcast last Thursday what a week it has been! The Author’s Boot Camp is almost full and soon we will have new authors holding their books in their hands! I get so excited just thinking about that!

Writing your book is a big deal and a huge investment of YOU. The great news is that it is fun, a fantastic experience and results in a legacy you will be very proud of. When I look at the books my authors have created I am so proud of them.

I look forward to creating with you!

Wow! The past few months have been very exciting. The April 2010 Author’s Boot Camp produced more than a dozen books which are now being published. I am so proud of these Authors who followed the steps and got their books done! The next Author’s Coaching Program starts on August 4 and the Author’s Boot Camp is on September 25-26. One of the most valuable benefits from the event is the team and support you receive before, during and after the event. Not just from me and my team but the friends and life long support you get from the authors you meet at the event. It was been amazing to hear about the great friendships that were made and joint ventures that were created.

Tips For New Writers And Authors:
It is very common to become overwhelmed as things evolve. You may have completed an exercise and then re-read it a day later and not be happy with it. That is TOTALLY NORMAL!!! Writing gets better, content matures with time and practice. I always write down material and let it “simmer” and make changes later. Things evolve, that is normal, so no worries, okay?

Writing a book IS a big deal! You have committed to an Author’s Boot Camp – it is a stretch, more than you may have stretched in writing, perhaps your business career or even your life. This is a big endeavor and here’s the payoff: Your writing muscle will become fit and firm and you will have a magnificent book in your hands.

Sometimes, during the first phase of the book writing process, authors tend to find themselves asking these questions:

* Who am I to write a book?
* What makes me think I can write a book that will make an impact?
* Is my material really worth while?

If you are hearing these questions, your ego may be kicking in and beating you up! That little voice saying, you’re not a writer . . . blah, blah, blah. If that is happening, here is a quick solution:

* Let the little voice talk and do it’s thing and listen.
* When it’s done, thank it and tell it to go on vacation – you’re busy!
* Move on to your higher power – get centered.
* Trigger your Writer’s Power Tools.
* Get into a position of certainty.
* Read your Vision, Outcome and Purpose.
* Focus on what you want to create what you were meant to create.
* Create something for your book!

Don’t let that little voice and those questions get you down! Hearing that little voice is typical. It’s part of being uncomfortable. Growing is uncomfortable. You may be having doubts about creating your book, I know that’s the easy way out. Is that what you really want?

Creating a magnificent book is not easy. That’s why we are creating together. I have created literally hundreds of books and I know the way. I am guiding you down the path towards your book and yes, there may be a couple of rocks and stumbling blocks, but that is okay. That is how we learn and I’m right here to answer your questions.

The assignments are designed to make you think, envision your book and prepare you to talk your book. Sometimes this brings about a flood of emotions, questions come up and self-doubt kicks in. I want you to know that these next few steps are the hardest part of creating the structure of your book. Once you get the Manuscript Grid™ done, it’s all down hill. The rest is fast and easy.

Remember progress is one step at a time. Yes, I am giving you A LOT of work these first few weeks. They are fully loaded and are the most homework intense. You wouldn’t want less, right? This process is proven and works and will give you the extraordinary experience and the OUTCOME that I promised and you signed up for: A Published Book!

Happy New Year! Welcome to my new Author’s Membership Site. I have been so excited and anxious to launch this site this past week; I couldn’t sit still! Of course, just as I’m ready to send you an invitation to come visit and help yourself to the resources I have posted, I think of something new! The pages have been growing and will continue to grow and evolve with new content, resources, expert interviews, ebooks, tools and strategies that get you closer to becoming a published and profitable author.

Author JeanneLauree Olsen sent me a wonderful quote about writing a few days ago, and I wanted to share it with you:

“We will open the book, it’s pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and it’s first chapter is New Year’s Day.” Author: Edith Lovejoy Pierce

If there is something you would like to see on this site, send me note, I would love to hear your ideas to make this an even more extraordinary resource. I will post each week’s call, notes and homework on the Coaching page so you can learn all of the new information that was presented in the call.

Have a question about this week’s information?  Send me a note to Ann@SoYouWantToWrite.com.  If you would like to see your book cover and link to your website on my Successes page, just let me know. I would be delighted to promote your book and services.

Talk to you soon!
